Girl Scouts from our north area participated in Memorial Day flag placement activities in honor of our veterans. Girls placed flags on veteran’s graves at the Andrew Johnson National Cemetery on May 25th in honor of Memorial Day. Park Rangers said it was the largest group of Girl Scouts ever to attend one of these events. Read more
Girl Scouts from our north area had the honor of meeting Elizabeth Nyamayaro, Senior Advisor to Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women and the head of the HeForShe Initiative, a global solidarity movement which seeks to engage men and boys as advocates for gender equality.
