Calling All Girl Scout Alumnae: Ellen Fowler

Ellen Fowler, a senior estimator for a construction company, will be honored as a Calling All Girl Scout Alumnae ambassador in Knoxville. Since becoming a Girl Scout Brownie in second grade, Ellen says Girl Scouting helped build her self-confidence.

With fond memories of camping and earning badges, Ellen says she learned skills like sewing and cooking, how to work together with her troop, and her love for outdoors, which continues today as she spends her free time on Norris lake hiking, swimming, and boating.

“I’m most excited about Calling All Girl Scouts because it will be a great time to come together and learn how we can help the next generation of Girl Scouts,” she said.

This adult-only event in Knoxville will be held on January 21 at the Knoxville Girl Scout Service Center from 5:30 to 7 pm and is open for any former Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, or Ambassadors! Email philanthropy@girlscoutcsa.org to RSVP for this free event.
